GROUND PENETRATING RADAR (GPR)
GPR – Powerful Subsurface Technology
Subsurface hazards such as utilities, objects, debris, changes in materials/soils, voids, and sinkholes may be hidden beneath your project site. If gone undetected, these unseen hazards could pose a serious safety risk to workers, community, and the environment. In addition, unknown hazards have the real potential for dramatically increasing project costs.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), available in multiple frequencies, is a non-destructive and essential tool for subsurface imaging and the locating of underground utilities such as metallic and/or non-metallic pipes, cables, conduits, and ducts. Whether a design, construction or excavation project is planned, CFL’s team of experienced professionals, with a full suite of GPR technologies, are prepared to deliver unparalleled GPR services.
GPR scanning is a geophysical surface methodology that meets ASCE 38-02 Standard for Quality Level B – Information is obtained through the application of appropriate surface geophysical methods to determine the existence and approximate position of subsurface utilities.
GPR, in the hands of CFL’s experienced technicians and Geologists, is a powerful tool for reducing risks, saving time, and controlling project costs.
